Gadget Review: Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush

I’ve had this little gadget for a while now, and I have to say I love it. At about £80 for the unit, and £20 for replacement heads, it’s not cheap, but it really seems to do the job – my skin has been so much better since using it, and I don’t even use it every day. Plus I’m no longer spending money on exfoliation washes.

For anyone who doesn’t know, this is a facial brush. You squeeze a little face wash onto the damp bristles (it’s waterproof – you can use it in the shower), switch it on, and let it vibrate the product into a foam over your skin.

The brush is chargeable – and it lasts a long time. I don’t think it’s ever run out on me before I’ve remembered to stick it in its docking station for a bit. And I’m terrible at remembering things like that. As far as I know it may well last forever!

I have a limited edition version that’s got purple dots, but it usually comes in plain white, and there’s a grey version aimed at men.

I only really have one minor criticism; the vibration only last for a short period before it turns itself off. I find I need two rounds at least to do full face and neck properly.

For me it’s 4/5 stars.
